Just when you think you can't see anything weirder from Japan, you do. Mind you, I've seen Morning Musume with meat stuck on their head. I've seen the poodle fitness video. I don't think what we saw was stranger necessarily, but definitely more baffling.

We were at Blue C, and they played what I assume is a comedy special - Ski Jumping Pairs, a computer animated sport in which people do combo ski jumps. It had human commentators and bizarre physical comedy. It was interesting to see how they stereotyped different countries. For the Americans there were two skiers and a small child. One skier jumped, while the other stayed on the ramp and tossed the kid like a (jet-powered) football. The jumper caught the kid and then peeled out on the snow.

Like I said - I'm guessing this was meant to be comedic. Here's a Windows Media clip.
